NBA THE RUN features numerous Advanced Dunks that help bring style and personalized swagger to the court. 

Players with high dunk ratings will have a much higher success rate when completing dunks, though using an Advanced Dunk will decrease its success based on your rating. Dunks are even harder to perform when properly guarded (L trigger) or against a valid block attempt by the opposing player. Additionally, players can also pass out of Advanced Dunks mid-air when things get crowded in the paint. It’s the type of split-second decisions that can give teams versatility in all types of situations and match rulesets.

Successfully completing an Advanced Dunk increases your In the Zone meter even faster and is the perfect way to show off against your opponent especially during breakaways. Certain players’ Zone abilities and the match ruleset can also provide an extra boost toward activating In the Zone. 

Some players also have the ‘Posterizer’ Zone Ability which increases Dunks rating as well as an increased chance to Posterize and doubled knockdown time for your opponents when they dunk. Likewise, on the other side of the court, there are players with the ‘Paint Patrol’ Zone Ability which boosts their Block rating while having a similar increased chance to Posterize with doubled knockdown time for opponents, when they block an opponent who is dunking.

Players will be able to equip up to 4 different Advanced Dunks to loadout prior to starting each Knockout Tournament run. These Advanced Dunks can then be activated during a live match by holding a specific button for the equipped dunk, an example being holding the L bumper in addition to the dunk button.

Advanced Dunks are rank-gated, meaning they won’t be accessible for CRED purchase in the Shop until you reach specific levels. Here are all of the Advanced Dunks in the game with more on the way coming in the upcoming first season ‘Summer Heat’ beginning this August:
